Ready, Set, Go!

Driving a three wheel vehicle delivers a unique feel of the road surface. Some of these surface nuances are not as noticeable with a four wheel vehicle.

Why Some Trikes Behave Badly
When Navigating Corners

It seems designers like to use 4 wheel auto design front ends that were never intended to be attached to an active learning vehicle. This can cause the front wheels to lean more than the chassis. Front wheel patches become very small, reducing its grip and wear life.

The combination of the mechanical wheel movement and lean appears to change the front wheel alignment requiring steering adjustments of the driver.

What Makes Us Different

Tampa Trike intends to provide fully assembled street legal trikes as our main focus. Front body panels will be standard for wind and grit shielding. Additional panels are optional.

New Chassis design for a three wheel vehicle.

No known power source restrictions.

The patent design is scalable.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will this be ready?

As soon as we can. The design and building of the tooling has started. There are many pieces involved in this set up and probably as many ways to do it. Time and cost of this is probably the biggest expense. If the process is done right, every part will be the same every time with no tooling setup changes between production runs. This website will list all updates.

What about pricing?

I wondered the same thing.  This requires a buffet of data. A lot of design time was used to develop every part to its essentials. This will benefit the manufacturing process. We do have goals. The price will be published as soon as the data is believed to be reliable.

Where will the maintenance / repair service be performed?

This aspect has not been settled. We do know the engine’s service/ repair can be performed by some motorcycle mechanics. All the engine data will come from the donor bike. YouTube videos are planned for the Front Beam service. Many videos exist on YouTube for the engine work. It is possible the owner will be able to do any service or repair. Of course, the goal is to have very low maintenance, however; this is difficult to achieve. One example is the bike engines need to be run regularly. The fuel systems do not like stagnant fuel. Ethanol may play a role in this, Two weeks can have a detrimental effect. The trikes are meant to be driven not stored.

Can I build my own trike?

See Patent License, Single Vehicle Only

What colors will be offered?

The trikes will be available in two colors. The frame will be blue and the body panels will be orange. We will unleash some graphic designers. They are pretty creative.

Are there warranties?

No warranties are written, implied or provided. All sales will be “AS IS”. This is not because we do not believe in our workmanship, This is simply because there are too many things beyond our control. All trikes and parts can be inspected at our plant before sales by customers and/or their representatives.

What sound system will be included?

The engine. It will have a unique volume control.

How do you ship the Trike?

We do not ship fully assembled trikes. Only unassembled parts and commercial items can be shipped. Customers and/or their representative can take possession at our plant. We would like the time to provide hands-on information about the trike and do some test driving. The first corner will feel strange when the trike leans into it. Most people lift the throttle. This seems to go away by the third corner. The driver will need to learn to wait a little longer before turning into a corner, more than a normal vehicle. So the hands-on time will be useful to understand how the trike responds to driver input.

Will the trike have a heater?

Yes, indeed. Two or Four cylinder style. No cabin heater or seat warmer. The Autonomous Leaning System is the only driver’s aide.
